Hello! My name is Shannon Cheng, and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I received my Ph.D. in industrial/organizational (I/O) psychology at Rice University in Houston, TX.
My research interests focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I), specifically how to address everyday biases and systemic inequities in the workplace. I'm interested in exploring how organizational policies and practices can be more inclusive and equitable, and how we can empower individuals to become aware of and address their personal biases as well. |
If you're interested in applying to graduate school, going into industry after graduate school, talking about DE&I, or anything else, don't hesitate to reach out!
I am also one of the co-founders of Asians in I/O, an I/O affinity group for Asian I/Os and our allies. Our mission is to empower Asians within the field of I/O, and we aim to create greater awareness of the multifaceted Asian experience, foster the growth and development of our community, and partner with allies to drive positive change in I/O.
